In the middle of the last century, the FAA produced a number of videos on topics that were of particular concern. The videos covered things like hand propping safety, float plane flying, and mountain flying. While video production quality has seriously improved, these videos still offer a great deal of useful information for pilots of today. I recently came across one of these videos on YouTube and I thought I would post it here. It’s a little rougher quality than I would like, but it is filled with great mountain flying information.

Hello, my name is Matt Everett and as of 1/1/2010 I am a private pilot ASEL. I started this blog early in my training and used it primarily as a place to keep notes of my lessons. Since then it has grown to much more than that, but my main focus is still on aviation experiences. It is my sincerest hope that this blog is a resource for others as much as it is a resource for me.
